Stories are one of the most effective ways to reach across a spectrum of learners. Jewish values, Torah text, holidays, Jewish identity can all be explored with story. This introduction to the art and skills of effective storytelling will help you learn a story quickly without memorization; feel ease in telling, not reading, a story. Resources about different types of and sources of Jewish stories provided.

Cindy Rivka Marshall, an invited presenter at Limmud UK in 2012, offers stories and teaches all ages at synagogues and schools. Cindy tells multicultural and Jewish stories with universal lessons that resonate with her sense of wonder. She teaches storytelling, communication, interviewing and listening skills, and story-based approaches to teaching. Cindy creates safe environments for participants to speak and be heard.
