Since the fall of the Berlin wall, the Jewish population of Germany has increased 30-fold. Today there are 120 congregations and over 200,000 Jews in Germany. Daniel Katz, who has served German congregations as rabbi for nearly 15 years, will tell of his experiences and answer your questions.


Daniel Katz

Daniel Katz is a rabbi, cantor, and musicologist. He has lived in Germany nearly 15 years. He is a founding member of the German General Rabbinical Association. His research specialty is the historical music of the synagogue. He is the Silver Fellow at the Center for Jewish Studies at Harvard for the fall semester 2011.
